I have been interested in and worked with textiles since I was a small child. In the ‘60’s I first met a knitting machine and was utterly fascinated by its potential.
In the ‘80’s I was gifted a Passap Duo 80. I took a correspondence course through Metropolitan Machine Knitting to develop my technical skills and some classes in Belfast Metropolitan College. Everything else I learned by trial, error and experience.
I have converted part of my home to a knitting studio & showroom. However the yarns and machines have spread to take over other places as my children left!
I research, design and make everything myself. I am interested in environmental impact and take care that all my yarns and packaging are from ethical, sustainable or recycled sources.
